Flowers, Gifts & Something Unexpected
Nestled in the heart of Lakewood, New York, near beautiful Chautauqua Lake & just steps from the iconic clock tower, Pea Pod & Juniper is an idyllic shop filled with fresh flowers, thoughtful gifts, and delightful treasures waiting to be discovered.
I'm Kim Carlson, owner and. floral designer at Pea Pod & Juniper. My love for flowers began young, when I started taking floral design classes with Becky Barnes of Nelson & Butts. After graduating from Southwestern High School, I continued my education with a year of floral design studies in Connecticut. Afterwards, I returned home to Jamestown and spent the next 12 years as an assistant manager for a local florist, where I continued to grow and deepen my passion for creating.
Life eventually led me down a different path. It was after experiencing profound personal loss, I was reminded just how precious life is and how important it is to follow our hearts. I felt called to return to my creative roots and build something meaningful around the things I love. And so, Pea Pod & Juniper was born!
Today, my shop is a destination where creativity flourishes and there's always something special to discover. From garden-inspired bouquets and seasonal blooms to custom floral arrangements, each design is created to bring beauty and meaning to the moments we celebrate.
Beyond the flowers, you'll find a thoughtfully curated collection of unique gifts, charming home decor, and unexpected little treasures. Whether you're searching for the perfect present, something lovely for your home, or simply a little treat for yourself, there's always a reason to wander in and see what's new.
Inspired by the beauty of Chautauqua Lake and the charm of our close-knit community, Pea Pod & Juniper is more than a flower shop; it's a place to find inspiration, celebrate all of life's moments, and discover something you didn't even know you were looking for.
Come see what's blooming and leave with something wonderful. I can't wait to welcome you in!
Specializing in Curiosity
Using our creative skills takes us away from stress. Life should be colorful. Life should be lived. We all need to stop and smell all the flowers. Flowers say so much: I love you, I am sorry, I believe in you, I thought of you, etc.
In 2024, we added our Christmas Store to our family of brands. Our Christmas Store has all the Christmas and Holiday items you can imagine. Stop by and check us out!
